TOP 5 FAVORITE Pinterest {Chicken} Recipes!

Right after my sister-in-law introduced me to Pinterest back in 2009, I started PINNING LIKE CRAZY. I am sure I am not the only one who has gone pin-tastic at one point or another in the last 6 years or so. I pinned everything I saw. EVERYTHING. I didn’t try anything out, I just was a pin-addict and PINNED AND PINNED AND PINNED.

When I got married in 2012, I decided that I had done ENOUGH obsessive pinning and I decided to give some of these recipes a go. Over, the years, I have unintentionally created a “list” in my head (and on my Pinterest board, “Tested {and approved} Recipes“) of my favorite recipes. These are not the kind of recipes that I will categorize as being just “tasty”. These are the recipes that I make OVER AND OVER again in my house. The kind that my husband doesn’t mind eating multiple times a week.

So, I decided to start by sharing my personal favorite chicken recipes with you!

#1: Crock Pot Italian Chicken

This is the #1 go-to favorite meal in my house. I like to substitute the italian powder with ranch powder and serve it over rice. NOM NOM NOM. We have it {at least} once a week. I don’t even feel like I need to apologize to my husband if I cook it more than once in any given week. For example, I made it on Monday and by golly – we are eating it again today! It is also FABULOUS left over – almost as good as when it is first cooked!

#2: Mayonnaise Chicken

Before I made this one, I wasn’t sure about it. The main flavors are parmesan and garlic. Personally, I love mayonnaise (which is the main ingredient). However, you can’t really taste a “mayonnaise” flavor when the chicken is done. It is just DELICIOUSNESS. I serve this with broccoli and corn.

#3: Chicken Pillows

This recipe is absolutely DIVINE. I do not typically make it more than once a week – because there is a lot of WORK put in to this meal. However, it is totally worth it!! I typically serve this with green beans and corn.

#4: Oven Fried Chicken

I’m a Georgia girl who LOVES deep-fried food… but I’m also a girl who wants to watch my weight! I’m talking about food that has all the flavor of southern goodness but without most of the bad stuff! Oven Fried Chicken is the healthy twist on the classic southern-fried entree. It has the same delicious flavor but without all the grease! It comes out of the oven crispy. SO GOOD. I serve this dish with mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese.

#5: Almond Oat Chicken

I know, I know… this recipe link is from my own personal blog. BUT – I did not come up with this recipe. I originally cooked it from an Oxygen magazine recipe and fell in love with it. I lost the article that I had clipped from the magazine and couldn’t find it anywhere online! SO, I posted it to make sure it stayed alive. It is a healthy {tasty} alternative to chicken tenders!
