I’m nearly a week behind with this post, however, better late than never! I have been so so SO busy with school, being pregnant, and throwing a birthday party — that I’ve gotten very behind on the other things that I typically try to keep up with! Sorry folks!
On Friday October 10, 2014, our sweet Brooklynn turned ONE! This was a very emotional day for me on multiple levels. For one, my sweet girl is ONE. That’s enough to get emotional about. For another thing, it brought back all the memories of Brooklynn’s Birth Story just one short year before. (Which, of course, got me even more nervous about giving birth to baby Glaze #2 in March!)
Brooklynn also decided, on her first birthday, that it was time to start walking by herself everywhere. Prior to 10/10/14, she was walking while holding our hands only. On her birthday, she decided it was time to fly solo.
Brooklynn had a beautiful pink and gold themed birthday party. She was completely overwhelmed the whole time and DID NOT want to stick her hands in her cake. In my mind, I had imagined her digging elbow deep into the cake and getting it everywhere. In reality… she thought that having her hand covered in icing was the worst thing that had ever happened to her.
I am so thankful for this sweet little princess who make each and every day precious!
