I love Valentine’s Day.
It’s the perfect excuse to do something that I love doing every single day of the year– show those around me how much I love them and how much they mean to me.
Long ago, Darren and I gave up on giving each other gifts for every holiday. To be quite honest– I ran out of good ideas as to what I should get him! This year, we’ll be celebrating our sixteenth Valentine’s Day together and we’ve simply given each other a lot of presents over the years.
One thing I never quit giving, though, is a card.
Cards are so powerful. They can put into words all those feelings and emotions you have for those special people in you life and really let them know how much they mean to you. They contain far less calories than a box of chocolates and won’t wilt away like a bouquet of flowers.
When I choose a card for someone I love, I want it to be really special. That’s why this Valentine’s Day, I went to Cardstore.
In one word, Cardstore is amazing.
They offer unique cards that can be completely customized and personalized for your recipient at a price that is lower than many cards you’d pick up off the shelf in a store.
Yes. It’s amazing.
Want to see the cards I chose for Darren and Raileigh? Shhhhhh…. don’t tell them, okay?
I’m not going to show you the inside. I’ve got to keep some of my mushy thoughts a secret. But, I will tell you a few tips to make that personalized sentiment truly heartfelt.
- Take your time. Don’t rush your thoughts because you want to be able to get out what you truly feel in your heart. You may even need to walk away and come back when that perfect sentiment pops into your head.
- Be Yourself. Don’t use language that isn’t you or try to sound like someone you’re not. Say what you feel in your own words.
- Personalize. That’s what I love about Cardstore. They make it easy to customize the card with a picture, your loved one’s name and even special thoughts.
In order to get that personalized card for your loved one this Valentine’s Day, you need to order from Cardstore by February 6. There are numerous cards to choose from whether you’re making a card for your spouse, your child, or a friend. It’s truly okay to cry, so don’t be afraid to get a little mushy when you’re writing.
