Several weeks ago, I made a caramel buttercream that quickly rose to the top as my absolute favorite frosting.
But… that was before I made this.
Cookies & Cream Frosting.
Y’all. This frosting is amazing. I made it to go on top of a Cookies & Cream Cake I was baking, but I literally could have sat there and ate it with a spoon… or dipped a huge stack of Oreo’s in it. You choose.
It would be so good on so many things.
Want to make some?
Cookies & Cream Frosting
- 6 tbsp. butter at room temperature
- 8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup crushed Oreo’s
Start by combining your butter and cream cheese. I did this with the paddle attachment on my stand mixer. Make sure the two are completely combined.
Add in the powdered sugar. Mix this in slowly so you don’t send a white cloud flying all over your kitchen. After it’s been well-incorporated with the butter and cream cheese, add in the heavy whipping cream. Mix well, scraping the sides of your bowl as you go. Mix until the frosting reaches a light and fluffy consistency.
Now it’s time to add the crushed cookies. Fold the cookie pieces into the frosting.
That’s it. You now have a delicious batch of Cookies & Cream frosting.
