Pampers Celebrating Firsts {Review + Giveaway}

Disclosure Review

A few hours after Brooklynn was born, Kevin and I changed her very first diaper.

We didn’t bring our own diapers – we didn’t think about that when packing our things. So, the hospital provided us with diapers, Pampers Swaddlers. Our first impression was how much we LOVED those diapers. They were soft, snug, and felt very secure on her sweet little body.

I have changed many diapers in my life {my brother’s (11 years younger than me), my sister’s (7 years younger than me), and many babies I have babysat}. However, when the nurse asked me if Brooklynn had urinated in her first diaper — it stopped me in my tracks. You see, urine was not what I was mainly focused on cleaning up during that first diaper change.

The nurse must have noticed my baffled look as I was trying to figure out how I was supposed to know the answer to the question. She nodded her head with a smile and explained the first thing I needed to know about the Pampers Swaddlers diapers.

The information I learned was mind-blowing.

These nifty diapers not only are snug, soft, and durable — they also have a special “strip” down the middle. This strip begins being yellow. When the baby has a wet diaper, the yellow strip turns bluish green.

Pampers has made it SO easy to know if Brooklynn is in need of a diaper change!

When Brooklynn moved up to a size 1 {which was when she was three weeks old}, we had a diaper emergency. I was in a HUGE hurry to grab a diaper to catch the mess that she was making. At both of my baby showers, we got a LOT of diapers. I grabbed the first pack I could find and quickly put it on her. Later that night, my husband went to give her a diaper change. He very QUICKLY expressed how much he did NOT enjoy the new diaper brand — he wanted the Pampers Swaddlers back. I told him that we needed to use the diapers that we were given — but once we started buying our own — Pampers would be our only brand!

Not long after I fell in love with the Pampers Swaddlers — I learned that now they come in size Newborn through size 5!!! This means, my sweet baby can stay in the diaper brand that Kevin and I have become attached to throughout her diapering years.

Isn’t that bear ADORABLE that Brooklynn is holding? It stays in her carseat ALL the time – and she holds it and chews on it’s hat the whole time she’s in her carseat! Check out the #SwaddlersFirsts Twitter Party for a chance to win one of these awesome {and adorable} little bears!

    When my daughter first smiled at me I just melted. I caught her first steps in a picture. Actually she ran instead of walking. Now she’s pregnant and in May my granddaughter Chloe is due. I can’t wait to hopefully see some of her firsts. Thank you 🙂
