Turbo is a snail who dreams of being the greatest racer in the world. His obsession with speed has made him an oddity and outsider in the slow and cautious snail community. Turbo desperately wishes he could escape the slow-paced life he’s living, and he gets that chance after a freak accident leaves him with the power of incredible speed. The newly turbo-charged Turbo embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the impossible: racing against the best that the Indianapolis 500 has to offer. Joining Turbo is his dedicated pit crew of racing snails – a ragtag group of trash-talking adrenaline junkies tricked out with shells that look like mini-street racing cars. Turbo is the ultimate underdog who achieves the impossible by refusing to let his limitations get in the way of his dreams.

For weeks, as we visited our local cinema for $1 kiddie movies on Wednesday, I would see the advertisements for TURBO.  Each and every time, Raileigh would look at me and say “Mom, I really want to see that movie”.  She has zero concept of time, so I would just tell her that it wasn’t in theaters just yet.

Finally, the day came where it was time to attend the TURBO screening. I finally got to tell Raileigh that it is in theaters now!  The three of us headed out to watch the film in 3D.

I was slightly apprehensive.

Would Raileigh keep her 3D glasses on?

Would TURBO be everything she had hyped it up to be in the past few weeks?

Would Darren and I enjoy it, too?

Regardless, I was excited to see what TURBO had to offer.

Wow– does this movie deliver.  TURBO has humor for kids and adults.  It has heart, dedication, and that never give up attitude.  It has a strong sense of family.  Oh– and the music is truly awesome.  Though, I may be singing “that snail is fast” from now until eternity.  In short– TURBO has it all.

We all loved TURBO.  So much that I didn’t even get up to get that popcorn that I was crazily craving the entire movie {… and I don’t even really like popcorn…}.

As we were leaving the theater, Raileigh actually asked when we could go back and watch TURBO again.  She also informed me that we need to buy it the day it comes out so that she can watch it whenever she wants.

TURBO is a great choice for something cool {temperature and fun-wise} to do with the family as summer winds down.  I just have a feeling you’re going to love this little snail as much as we do.

Make sure to connect with TURBO for movie news and other exciting announcements.
