Is there a fruit that your family cannot get enough of?

My family loves all kinds of fruit, but our fruit of choice is generally strawberries.  When Darren and I were first married, we lived about a mile from the local strawberry patch.  It. was. incredible.

Though we’ve moved multiple times since then, we are still smitten with these tasty red berries. We’ll slice them up and eat them straight from the container.  We’ll also throw them in our favorite recipes as well– strawberry muffins, strawberry shortcake, strawberry smoothies, and more.

Recently, we discovered a new favorite treat that is easy to make, incredibly delicious, and perfect for a hot summer afternoon!  With only 4 ingredients, you can have a batch of Frozen Strawberry Yogurt ready in minutes.  The Cuisinart Prep 9™ 9-Cup Food Processor will do all the work for you, so you can just sit back and relax.strawberry-frozen-yogurt

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

  • 1 lb. frozen strawberries
  • 1- 6 oz. container Vanilla yogurt
  • 2 tbsp. super fine granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. water

Fit your Cuisinart Prep 9™ 9-Cup Food Processor with the chopping blade.  Add all the ingredients into the bowl.  Turn your processor on and watch as the ingredients are magically transformed into delicious frozen yogurt.  You may want to stop the food processor periodically to scrape the sides down.

After preparing, the consistency is a bit runny, but quite good nonetheless.  I decided to pop it in the freezer for a few hours before serving so it would be a bit more firm.

Serve with a few slices of fresh strawberry for garnish or eat as-is.

What’s your family’s favorite summer treat?

I want some of that yummy frozen strawberry yogurt. I’d love to be able to have something that made this. Frozen yogurt in a yogurt shop is getting to be an expensive treat. This could save money. Great review, now I really want one 🙂
