Garnier Olia Hair Dye {Review}

Disclaimer:  I did not receive any monetary compensation for this post.  I didn’t even receive a sample.  I just really like this product and so I thought I’d post about it!

I have a confession.  I like to dye my hair.  A lot.  It’s not that I really need to.  I don’t have a ridiculous amount of gray.  I certainly have more than I used to, but mostly I just like to goof off with it.  Because of my job as a college instructor, I usually have to keep my color pretty conservative.  I stick with things in the auburn family which is pretty close to my usual color anyway.

Before.  Sorry it’s a cellphone pic.

Now that I’m out for the summer, I decided to go crazy.  Literally.  I wanted to see what blonde would look like.  Yeah…  you can imagine how that went.  Bright.  Orange.  To be honest, I didn’t hate it.  It was almost strawberry-ish.  But a few of my good girlfriends assured me it looked dreadful.  So I knew I had to head back to the store and make another change.  I didn’t want to do something that would be more damaging to my hair so I called a few of my friends that are avid dyers and asked what the best course of action was.  They all recommended Garnier Olia because it is oil-based and has no ammonia so it is healthier for your hair.

I.  am.  in.  love.  Seriously my hair feels so healthy and luxurious!  I went with color 6.60, Light Intense Auburn.  Because let’s be clear here:  I still wanted something pretty outrageous.  I still wanted a color that was clearly not my own.  If I don’t have to go to work, I want to have fun with it.  I am beyond happy with the color.  But I am even more happy with the feel of my hair after this color.  It feels healthier, thicker, moisturized, and just overall good.  I will be using this product from now on!
