Aside from the hardships of the first trimester, I have absolutely LOVED every part of being pregnant. Everything is so exciting and fun. I have gained so many memories from this experience that will be with me for a lifetime. However, this post is about the constant everyday things that I absolutely love about being pregnant.
I absolutely love food. Now that I am in my second trimester, eating is one of my very most favorite things about being pregnant. Although I do not “eat for two”, I love having NO guilt about eating something that I am craving!
Many mothers will tell you that it’s impossible to describe the feeling you get when your baby moves inside of you. I am here to tell you the same thing — It’s a feeling that I look forward to each and every day. As she gets stronger, sometimes her moving around is not always comfortable. However, I love that there is a tiny human life growing and developing inside of me. It always makes the uncomfortable bladder KICKS completely worth it!
Although I am not such a huge fan of getting fat in places other than my belly… I absolutely LOVE watching my stomach grow each and every day. Every day that I get bigger… it means that my precious daughter is getting bigger, too. I love having a constant reminder that my husband and I made a beautiful growing baby girl!
Yes, you read that right. Nesting.
Many people do not believe that nesting is even a real side effect of being pregnant. However, I can assure you, for me it is. Prior to being pregnant, I did not even notice the messes around me. I would allow my house to get so cluttered that it was hard to walk around in it. However, NESTING has completely changed all of that. Now I am absolutely obsessed with keeping things tidy. I feel that the cleaner the house is, the better it is for my sweet child. I love this about being pregnant because it has really shown me how much better and easier life is when the space that you’re living in is not a mess. My husband and I both hope that my nesting does not go away once baby girl arrives!
So, for all of you who are mothers… you already know this. However, for those of you who are not already mothers — let me tell you. MATERNITY CLOTHES ARE INCREDIBLE. They are SO comfortable and cozy! I will not be surprised if I continue wearing maternity clothes long after I have delivered my daughter!
I want to hear from y’all! I have listed my 5 top things that I love about being pregnant. What are some of the things that you love/loved about being pregnant??
