3 Things The Blackberry Z10 Can Do That An iPhone Can’t

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Ambassadors program and have been provided with a wireless device and three months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

I have to say that I never imagined myself becoming a Blackberry user.  I envisioned high-level executives and other extremely career oriented people using the Blackberry– not me.  I am a stay at home mom, and though I feel just as busy as the people I imagined a Blackberry to be designed for, I never thought that I would use one.

Enter the Blackberry Z10 and suddenly I find myself using Blackberry’s very first smartphone.

Now, I will admit that I do find myself missing my old phone at times.  After all, you tend to get attached to things such as cell phones and it can be hard to move on and learn how to use a new phone.

However, I will also say that I have been pleasantly surprised by Blackberry.  In fact, I have discovered things my Blackberry Z10 can do that my iPhone cannot.  Yes, you read that right!

So, today I would like to share with you 3 things a Blackberry Z10 can do that an iPhone can’t.

1.  TimeShift Camera

How many fuzzy photos of your children are on your phone?  Chances are that there are quite a few.  In fact, there are days when I take pictures of Raileigh and not one single photo looks good.  Enter the TimeShift camera, an amazing feature that is unique to the Blackberry Z10.  It captures a few seconds on each side of your photo, not just one precise second in time {which is always delayed from when you push the button}.  This gives you the ability to go forward or backwards and choose the exact right moment to capture. Quite simply– it’s awesome.

2.  Expandable Storage

Now– this isn’t a feature I care too much about, but my husband loves it.  An iPhone comes with a certain amount of memory and if you start reaching the full capacity, your only option is to start deleting things.  That isn’t true with the Blackberry Z10.  It supports microSD cards up to 64GB.  Yes– that means you can have a lot more room for things such as your huge music collection.  Plus, if you’re willing to to invest in multiple microSD cards, you can pretty much infinitely expand your storage capabilities.

3.  Removable Battery

This is another feature that my globe-trotting husband enjoys.  With an iPhone, the battery is internal and cannot be taken out.  With the Blackberry Z10, this isn’t the case.  Why is this useful?  If you’re traveling and your phone is getting heavily used, chances are your battery will die at the worst possible time.  Just pull out your fully charged secondary battery {which doesn’t cost much, by the way}, pop it in, and you are good to go.
