Wholly Guacamole & Jennie-O Partner Together for a DELICIOUS Combo! {Review + Giveaway}
Guacamole has become a staple in my household. We won't settle for just any guacamole, though. We will only purchase the #1 guacamole in America-- Wholly Guacamole!
Just in case you aren't familiar with Wholly Guacamole or you have not tried it before... there is a reason this guacamole is preferred by so many people across this country-- it's incredibly delicious!
Wholly Guacamole products are all natural, containing no preservatives or gluten. They are made with real Haas Avocados using a technology called High Pressure Process. This technique uses high-pressure cold water rather than heat and chemicals to create the products, resulting in a safe and tasty product for your family.
Recently, our favorite guacamole company partnered up with Jennie-O Turkey Store. They specialize in... you guessed it... turkey! In business since 1940, Jennie-O offers a full range of turkey products including breakfast sausage and bacon, sandwich meats, frozen patties and meatballs, and pre-seasoned ground meats that are ready to cook.
Now, we aren't usually a family that eats a lot of turkey other than at Thanksgiving. However, we had the opportunity to test out our Wholly Guacamole on the new-to-us Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burgers from Jennie-O.
The result is:
Guacamole Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger
This recipe is tasty {my husband scarfed up the entire thing!} and easy to customize to the tastes of your own family.
Ingredients:
- 1 package Jennie-O Turkey Store Jalapeno Jack burgers
- 2.5 cups thinly sliced onions
- 1/3 cup fresh chopped cilantro
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 8 oz. Wholly Salsa, Medium
- 6 whole wheat flatbreads
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1- 7 oz. package Classic Wholly Guacamole
1. Cook turkey patties according to package directions. We actually used our counter top George Foreman grill for this. Just make sure the patties cook to an internal temperature of 165 degrees, according to a meat thermometer.
2. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray. Add onions and cook over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes {until soft and lightly brown}. Add cilantro, honey, and salsa. Stir well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
3. Spoon the onion mixture onto the bottom of each flatbread. Add a turkey patty, followed by spinach leaves and guacamole. Fold the top of the flatbread over.
4. Eat and enjoy!
Truly one of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to customize. For example, I cannot stand cilantro, so I left it out of my recipe. I also opted for some onion poppyseed rolls as opposed to flatbread. We added a slice of cheese because we thought the flavor would be nice {it was!}. You can also use a hotter salsa for spice or substitute the Classic Wholly Guacamole with a different flavor if you'd like.
Does this look like a recipe your family would enjoy? I am excited to announce that one lucky reader is going to win a Wholly Guacamole and Jennie-O Turkey Store prize pack. It will contain:
- 4 FREE Wholly Guacamole Product Coupons
- 2 FREE Jennie-O Product Coupons
- Turkey Meat Thermometer
- Other Promotional Items
