Uncle Milton: Ant Farm Revolution {Review}

I talked recently about how hard it is to keep Anakin interested in anything educational.  Don’t get me wrong, this kid LOVES to learn.  And he is very quick to take in new information.  Maybe a little too quick, which is why he gets bored so easy.  (I’ve been there, kid.  I totally feel ya!)

He was super stoked!

I was so happy to be introduced to Uncle Milton‘s toys!  They are just the right combination of educational and fun.  I am looking forward to showing you more of what Uncle Milton has to offer in the coming months but to start, we tried out the Ant Farm Revolution.

Checking out the new digs.

Who didn’t have an ant farm as a kid?  There so much cooler than they were when we were kids!  It’s made up of a translucent gel that acts both as a food for the ants, and as “dirt” for them to dig around in.  Since it’s translucent, no matter how deep or how shallow they are digging, you can see everything they are doing.  I’ll be honest, even I get caught up staring at them sometimes!  (don’t tell my husband…  he thinks I’m putting laundry away.)

This is what the projector lens looks like.
And this is what it does to the ceiling!

The coolest feature that this one offers is the inside projector lamp with a projection lens on top so you can see the shadows of the ants on the ceiling!  I didn’t realize the silhouettes would be so clear!  This picture is in my own living room, so it shows you how cool it looks.

Hard at work!

Uncle Milton has several other items in this line like a vintage ant farm and even a frog farm!  So cool.  Anakin and I are really enjoying our new “toy” so I hope you guys have an opportunity to head over to Uncle Milton and check it out.  Don’t forget to like them on facebook!

Disclaimer:  I received no monetary compensation for this post.  I received this product for the purpose of this review but the opinions are 100% my own and this ant farm is really cool! :)
