The Original Harlem Globetrotters are coming to town.


From tip off ‘til the final whistle, this event is FUN for the whole family. The Harlem Globetrotters began in 1926 as the Savoy Big Five. Now more than 85 years and 20,000 games later, the team has become one of the most recognizable franchises in sports.

The Original Harlem Globetrotters have played in more than 120 countries, dazzling fans of all ages.  They are the innovators of the alley-oop, 3 man weave, slam dunk and 4 point shot.  The Globetrotters have been inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, and their players hold numerous records and other awards.


I have seen the Globetrotters play on numerous occasions at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.  They are skilled, entertaining, and put on one amazing show.  The Original Harlem Globetrotters are by far one of the most exciting sporting events I have ever attended.

This year, there is a whole new element to the show called "You Write the Rules".  This fun promotion allows you to do exactly what the name implies-- write the rules!  Fans get to decide which new rule will be added to the Globetrotters game.  This is exciting, as this one rule change could have a huge impact on the outcome of the game.  Make sure to go vote so that you get a say!

At the conclusion of the game, don't forget to get autographs from the incredibly talented players.  You can get pictures as well, and you'll definitely want to.  This will surely be an event to remember.
