The 20/20 Project– the New CD from Justin Timberlake– Has Arrived! {Review}

This is a pretty exciting week!

This week has brought us St. Patrick’s Day, the first glorious day of spring… and the release of the new Justin Timberlake CD!

I will be the first to admit- I am usually not out buying CD’s, especially on the very day they are released.  We subscribe to a digital music service, and it honestly gives us access to almost anything we could possibly want to listen to.

However, with the release of this new album came a very special deal that I simply could not turn down.

First… let’s talk about the CD.  The 20/20 Experience is the newest release from well-known singer Justin Timberlake.  It was released just a few days ago on March 19.

For the first week of the release, you can pick up the CD at Walmart for just $7!  That’s right– only SEVEN dollars!  Needless to say, that was enough to motivate me to head out the very day the CD hit stores and pick it up {you can read all about my entire shopping trip over on Google+}.

The 20/20 Experience features 10 tracks:

    • Pusher Love Girl

  • Suit & Tie

  • Don’t Hold the Wall

  • Strawberry Bubblegum

  • Tunnel Vision

  • Spaceship Coupe

  • That Girl

  • Let the Grove Get In

  • Mirrors

  • Blue Ocean Floor

Let me just start by saying that I am SO VERY GLAD I purchased this CD as opposed to simply listening to the digital version.  The artwork within the CD case is stunning.  It has this vintage vibe to it, complete with a CD that looks like an old record.  There are pictures of Justin Timberlake that all look as if that were taken in a past era.  I just love the feel of it!

Then, there’s the music.

If you listen to the radio, then you’ll probably recognize Suit & Tie— the collaboration with Jay-Z.  This track was the first single that was released for the album, and it’s been out now for a few months.  The instruments at the beginning add this really awesome touch and make the song stand out from others on the radio.  The mix of Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake singing together is also pretty awesome.  I am definitely a fan of the song, which has a really good beat.

My husband is a big fan of the song Don’t Hold the Wall, the third track on the album.  Timbaland is the producer for Justin Timberlake’s newest album, and that influence seems to really come through in this song.  It’s got an urban feel to it and just has an overall nice rhythm.

My personal favorite track was the last one– Blue Ocean Floor.  This song was a slower than the other tracks, and it was a nice way to wind down at the end of the CD.  The song really showcases Justin Timberlake’s voice, which is really nice!  It’s a pleasant and welcome change to the upbeat temp I’m used to from him.

The 20/20 CD is only available for $7 through March 24.  And– you can only get these exclusive deal at Walmart.

So, head out today while you’ve still got time and pick up The 20/20 Experience from Justin Timberlake.
