Every Breath is a Thrill With Tic Tac {Review}

The rattling of Tic Tac mints heard when the little box is opened and closed is actually what inspired the name of this iconic candy.

Tic Tac was created in the 1960’s– the same year as Woodstock, in fact.  Since then, Tic Tac has became a leading breath mint brand all around the world.  Each year, 40 billion people choose to enjoy Tic Tac mints.

When you think of Tic Tac, what comes to mind?  Is it the original white Tic Tac Freshmints?

Tic Tac mints actually come in a wide range of flavors, from traditional mint to fruity options.

We recently had the opportunity to try out a variety of Tic Tac flavors, and I was surprised at the many different flavors that are available.

We had three minty options– Tic Tac Freshmints, Tic Tac Powermint, and Tic Tac Wintergreen.  A handy little container of mint-flavored Tic Tacs fits perfectly in my purse, and is there whenever my mouth needs a little “freshening up”.

I admit– I like all the flavors.  However, Tic Tac Powermint is my go-to option for a minty-flavored Tic Tac.  It’s bold, with a super strong mint flavor.  That little Tic Tac mint may be small, but it is definitely packed full of concentrated mint flavor.  Tic Tac Powermint is perfect to give me back my fresh breath.

We also tried several of the fruity flavors of Tic Tac.

  • Tic Tac Orange
  • Tic Tac Wild Cherry
  • Tic Tac Strawberry Fields
  • Tic Tac Fruit Adventure

Tic Tac Fruit Adventure is actually four fruit flavors in one convenient package.  You’ve got the classic fruit flavors– orange and wild cherry– paired with passion fruit and green apple.  The flavors work well together, if you’re the type who likes to pop several Tic Tacs in at once.  However, if you’re like me, you eat one at a time, just to take in the taste of each individual mint.

My daughter’s favorite is Tic Tac Strawberry Fields.  This was a new flavor to me, and one that I also found to be delicious.  There are two colors of mints- light pink and dark pink.  The dark pink are tart strawberry and the light pink are sweet strawberry.  My favorite way to consume these mints is to get one of each color at a time.  It’s a flavor combination that is perfect for the warm spring days ahead.

Each Tic Tac mint {which is equal to one serving} comes in at 1.9 calories.  It’s so small and miniscule, it’s almost not worth mentioning!  You’ll also find zero grams of fat and no carbohydrates in each serving of Tic Tacs.

A 1 oz. container of Tic Tac mints has a suggested retail price of $1.29.  Also, be on the lookout for the much larger bottle pack, which gives you 3.4 oz. of Tic Tac fun.
