DIY Gifting: Babylegs! {Tutorial}

10:31 AM Posted by Rachael Weeshare

The Bug is a [almost] crawling fool!  The tough part about that is trying to protect his little legs but also give him mobility.  Insert: babylegs.  Could these things BE any cuter?!  No way!  But alas, they run like $10 a pop.  More than I am willing to pay.  So I did a little googling in and found this great tutorial!

Please take a moment to catch your breath if you are overwhelmed by the cuteness pictured above.
...

Ok, for the full tutorial, hop on over to the link above, but here is my run down:

Supplies needed:
No seriously, that's it.  I guess technically you need scissors and a needle/sewing machine.

Step 1: Cut those socks up!

 Step 2:  Take the foot section, fold it inside out, and sew a seam in about 1/2" or so.  You use that for a cuff, and the seam helps make it a little smaller.

Step 3: Fold the cuff in half and sew it to the leg piece.

Step 4: Toss those babies on your baby and take in all that cuteness!  Ahhhh!
Don't let the baby eat the scraps.

Seriously, the easiest project ever.  No joke.  All three pair took me about 15 minutes and I had to rip a few seams because I'm an overachiever and wasn't actually looking at the directions while I was working.  They make it way easier for Bugs to [try to] crawl and they make diaper changing a breeze!  Seriously, I am beyond happy with these!  I will be scouring the clearance racks for knee highs religiously now!
