Wee Pray-- Pray With Me app for iPhone & iPad
As many of you know, we recently relocated to South Carolina. It is 5 hours from our previous residence and 5 hours from every last bit of our family.
The hardest part of this move has been dealing with the distance between us and our loved ones. We miss being near them, and they miss having us there as well.
Recently, I became acquainted with an app for iPhone and iPad that can help to make it feel like our family isn't quite so far away. Wee Pray is a unique app that allows loved ones to record prayers for the special little ones in their life. These prayers can be played and listened to when you (or the grandparents) are not right there.
It is ideal for:
- parents who travel on business
- military families
- parents who work the night or split shift
- grandparents and other family members who don't live nearby
This app is incredibly easy to use. You simply record a pray and send it to the child via email. The sender can also add a photo the prayer, using one from a file or from a built in camera on your device. Prayers can be recorded in 4 different areas-- bedtime, mealtime, good morning, and I love you.
Any time the notion hits, loved ones can record special prayers for your child that you can easily access through the app. If your child has a big soccer game today, Grandma can record a special prayer wishing them luck. If they just want to say good morning, that's okay too.
No matter what the distance- next door, a different state, or around the world- Wee Pray connects loved ones and allows them to share a special prayer any day, any time.

This app is just useless. If there is something I want to announce to people, I would simply use Twitter.
Moreover, I'll never want people to pray for me, and record themselves doing so. Isn't prayer a personal monologue between an individual and God? Why should they even send you their prayers? The only reason I can think of is your insecurity. You feel they don't give a doodoo. Thus, you oblige them to send proof that they are praying.
That clarified, I would not ever want people wasting time by praying. Prayer is useless, and the spaghetti monster does not exist.
