Welcome to Scrappin’ Thursday! When I was designing this layout, I had full intentions of using my new Independence Day Cricut Cartridge. I usually make my cuts after I design the rest of my project. When I started to cut out the images that I had selected… nothing looked quite how I envisioned it to look. So, I decided to leave it off completely!
- The Paper Company Blue Star Die Cut Paper
- Patterned paper of choice
- White Cardstock
- Red Cardstock
- Red, white and blue ribbon
On this layout, there is a 4 x 6 picture spot and a 3 x 5 picture spot (located on the white cardstock rectangles). So first I cut the white cardstock to those sizes. Then I cut the red cardstock in the sizes 5 x 7 and 4 x 6. I glued the die cut paper to the white cardstock. Place the patterned paper diagonal on the die cut paper and adhere.
I then took my red, white, and blue ribbon and cut to the right size. I adhered them in a row all the way around my layout. Once they were securely in place, I tied them in a pretty bow! Then I took a lighter and touched the flame to the ends of the ribbon – to prevent fraying.
