Review & Giveaway: Element Bars- CLOSED

When shopping, I find it difficult to find snacks that everyone in my family will enjoy. My husband has a peanut allergy, so things with peanuts or peanut butter are quickly ruled out. Additionally, we all have different likes or dislikes. Sometimes I just wish I could mix up all the ingredients I want in a snack so that everyone would be happy.

Well, at Element Bars that is actually possible! This exciting company was founded by two people, Maria and Jonathan. Both from the windy city of Chicago, they simultaneously started creating their own granola bars at home. Maria was looking for a bar that was actually “all natural”, unlike many of the bars she had tried in the past that claimed to be and weren’t. Jonathan wanted a bar that was in high and protein and fiber, and low in the sugars that made him crash by mid-morning.

Lucky for us, these two got together and started putting their ideas into one hat. They wanted to be able to cater to the diets, likes, and individual tastes of absolutely everyone. So, Jonathan #2 joined the team and they began working on a program to design your own energy bars. That is when Element Bars was born.

At Element Bars, you have the power to choose the ingredients you want or don’t want in your bar. All ingredients are of the highest quality- all natural and minimally processed. Each and every bar is fresh out of the oven and delivered quickly to your doorstep.

There are 5 steps to build your own Element Bar. As you add each ingredient, it will tell you if it is available in the organic form. You just check the handy little box that pops up if you would like to go organic.

Plus, Element Bars has a list of their Popular Bars. Here, you can see a list of bars that have been tested and loved by many others. Just like when you build your own bar, each of these lists their ingredients and nutrition facts so you know exactly what you will be putting into your body.

I had the opportunity to try out 4 of these Popular Bars!

Craving chocolate? But don’t want to sacrifice nutrition? Indulge yourself with these chocolatey bars.

My Thoughts

I started with Choco-lata-fun because it was my absolute favorite! I love just about anything with chocolate in it, so this bar kind of felt like it was made just for me! The pumpkin spice was the best part of the bar, though. It tasted amazing. It reminded me of a dish from the holidays. The consistency was great as well. I really liked the chewy base. This is one bar I will be returning for this winter. YUM!

Detox Therapy

Need to detox? There is no better way to do it than with these delicious bars β€” they are high in fiber and high in antioxidants.

My Thoughts

Okay- I will admit I didn’t know what I would think of a detox bar. I was surprised to see it was not bad at all! The blueberries were plump and tasty. Plus, you know from the previous bar how much I enjoy the pumpkin spice. I was really pleased with how few fat calories were in this bar. Tasty and low in fat- a great combination!

The Cherry Dates Nuts

Wanting both? The fruit and the nuts? Get your servings of fruit in this crispy, tasty delight.

My Thoughts

This bar was probably my least favorite that I tried. I am not a huge fan of cherries, so I knew this was a possibility when I opened the package. The cherries were not ultimately what I disliked the least, though. I really didn’t care for the datey base. However, all of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and moist. If you are a fan of these ingredients, I am sure this bar would taste amazing to you! That is the joy of Element Bars- you really can choose exactly what you want!

Fuel Up and Go

Looking to kick start your day? Enjoy this delicious blend of grains and sweets for an extra-special boost to your morning.

My Thoughts

At first I was kind of not looking forward to trying another bar with cherries. However, I found that I didn’t really mind this one too much. The cherries mixed with the almonds actually worked well for me. I can definitely see how this bar is a great choice in the morning. It’s filled with lots of ingredients to help you get going, and has a nice sweet taste as well!

How fun to build your own bar! I made one with Almonds, flax seeds, honey, blueberries, pumpkin spice, and the datey base. I was trying to build ones my sons could eat–they have dairy and wheat intolerances. πŸ™‚
