I think scarves are so much fun! In addition to doing the obvious job of keeping your neck warm in winter, they can add a lot to an outfit. I love to wear a solid shirt and dress it up with some funky, bright colored scarf! It's also great to find a beautiful solid scarf and pair it with a more vibrant shirt. Not only am I cozy and warm, but it looks great, too.
It always saddens me a little to pack my scarves away each spring. I enjoy them a lot, but I don't need them once the warm months hit. So, maybe I am a little behind, but until recently, I didn't know about all of the fabulous warm weather scarves there are. I was pretty excited because this means that one of my favorite accessories can live on all year long!
Affordable Scarves is THE place to go for scarves any season of the year! In addition to the traditional cold weather scarves, they have a great selection of spring and summer scarves as well. Plus, like their name says, these scarves are truly affordable. So, you can look great and don't have to worry about breaking the bank.
For someone who has never worn a scarf in warm weather before, I was a little overwhelmed by the vast selection of beautiful, lightweight scarves. There is a such a huge variety of styles! Affordable Scarves makes it really easy to find just what you are looking for, though. There are many ways to break down your scarf search so that you only see the ones that fit into your criteria. You can search by color, material, shape, style, length, trend, and of course, season.
I knew that I wanted a scarf that was made for spring or summer so that I could wear it now, so I searched by season. I was still left with a lot of choices. There were square scarves, scarves with fringe on the end, silk scarves, solid scarves, ones with a design... the list goes on and on! It took me a while, but I ultimately decided on three scarves that were my absolute favorites:

Vanessa Infinity Scarf in greyAll of the scarves were beautiful, and I couldn't wait to see which of my favorites the company decided to send. I was incredibly excited when the Miami Cotton Scarf arrived at my house. This 100% cotton scarf is an incredibly generous size. It measures 68" long by 42" wide. It's so lightweight, though, so all of that material does not equal heavy, hot bulk around your neck.
Besides the gorgeous print, the first thing I noticed was just how soft the scarf is! I have found that many scarves can be itchy and uncomfortable when they rub up against your skin. Not this scarf! It just feels silky smooth, even though it's cotton!
It was only a matter of minutes after I removed the scarf from the box that Raileigh had her eye on it. She has kept the scarf in her possession so much, that I have hardly had a chance to wear it myself! She tries to wear it like a scarf, but it's definitely a little too long for her. So, the scarf has became a dress, a cape, a place to play peek-a-boo, and many other things. Raileigh has drug around the house ever since it arrived. I had happy to say that the scarf has held up beautifully! There is not one pick or tear, or anything at all wrong with the scarf. If the scarf can hold up the abuse of a toddler dragging it around the house, then I feel quite comfortable saying that I think it's really well made!
So, the scarves may be affordable, but they aren't cheaply made. You will spend very little to get a great, quality scarf that is going to last for years to come. When (I guess, if) Raileigh decides to relinquish my scarf, I know I will get a lot of use from it!
I am so glad to have found a company that can provide scarfs to accessorize with all year round! The Egyptian Queen Nefertiti wore the first known scarf all the way back in 1350 BC. Scarves have came a long way since then, and developed into all of the beautiful creations you can find at Affordable Scarves!
