Birthday Wishes Card

My mom works at the college that I attend. In her office, birthdays are a big deal. When anyone has a birthday the whole office gives cards, gifts and cake. Today is a lady in my mom’s office’s birthday. My mom actually asked me to hand make the birthday girl’s card! I was so excited. I decided to share this card with you, because it was relatively easy to make and really fun!

Materials:
  • The All Dressed up stack: Burgundy Pattern, Striped Pattern
  • Black Cardstock
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Gray Cardstock
  • Cricut
  • “Just Because Cards” Cricut Cartridge
  • “Lyrical Letters” Cricut Cartridge
  • Glue
  • Double sided Tape

Directions:
Cut and fold a 6 ½ x 8 ¼ card with black cardstock.
Cut a 6 ½ from the Just Because Cards Cartridge (Page 37) three times. Once with the Burgundy Pattern, Black cardstock, and the gray cardstock. Sandwich the front of the card with the black and the burgundy cardstock tabs.
I chose to cut out the gray cardstock with my Cricut to align the gray cardstock up with the black and burgundy tabs. I simply measured it out, and cut.
Then I used my Cuttlebug and the Polka Dots folder to emboss the gray cardstock.
Then simply take Striped Pattern paper and cut a 6 ½ (page 42) in the Just Because Cards Cartridge. I align this cut on the left side of the card.
Next, use the Lyrical Letters cartridge to cut Birthday Wishes with pink cardstock. This is found on page 70. To use this you will have to use the Capital tab, . I cut this out at 2 ½ inches.
Last but not least, adhere everything together.

Then you have a cute birthday card! Thank you for stopping by today! If you have any comments or questions, feel free to leave me a comment!
