My Triumphant Outlet Shopping Experience

Recently, TwitterMoms teamed up with Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Factory Store to encourage moms to share about their triumphant outlet shopping experience. To find out more or to participate in this fun opportunity, just visit TwitterMoms to find out all the details.

I love outlet shopping. In order to make ends meet and be able to afford to be a stay at home mom, it is essential that I do all I can to save money. Though I have always loved outlet shopping, it really became a big part of my life when I was preparing for Raileigh.

Our little blessing from God was a complete surprise to us. This means that we really hadn’t financially prepared to become a three member family. So, we had to come up with a plan as to how we were going to have what we needed when this new baby arrived.

Raileigh was going to be the first grandchild on either side of the family and all of my friends that lived nearby were childless- meaning no hand-me-downs. Have you seen how expensive a tiny newborn outfit can be? Ridiculous! So, I turned to my nearby Tanger Outlets and began building a newborn wardrobe for my baby girl.

Let me just show you some of the amazing deals I found while outlet shopping.

Raileigh going home from the hospital at 4 days old, wearing a $3.49 onesie from Old Navy outlet and $5 khakis from Carter’s outlet

Raileigh is sporting a birdie onesie picked up at the Old Navy outlet for $2.97

Gymboree outlet sunglasses for $3

A navy and pink striped hooded one piece from the Old Navy outlet for $5.97

Raileigh’s first Christmas dress- Gap Outlet clearance rack for $3.97!

Thanks to outlet shopping at such fantastic stores as Gap Outlet and the Old Navy outlet, I was able to create a wardrobe of clothing for my infant daughter at a price I can afford!
