Review & Giveaway: Bummas- CLOSED

Raileigh has always been prone to diaper rash. One diaper change she will have absolutely no signs of a rash. The very next change her poor little bottom will be completely red. I am always on the lookout for ways to help prevent the diaper rash, as well as treat it when it does appear. My favorite new product that is helping to keep the diaper rash away is Bummas.

Bummas are little cloths that are designed to keep baby bottoms fresh and dry without the use of powder, talc, ointments, or other chemicals. Bummas expedite the drying of a baby’s bottom, which will help to keep diaper rash from forming and current diaper rash from spreading. This was welcome news for me, as well as Raileigh.

Thanks to Casey, a wonderful lady at Bummas, I was sent a set of The Wild Ones Bummas to review. I was very grateful the day that they arrived. Just that morning, Raileigh had developed an incredibly painful looking case of diaper rash. I was very curious to see if Bummas could really help us to get rid of it. Upon opening the package, it was evident that these cloths are very soft- perfect for a baby’s bottom. They are made from 100% cotton terrycloth, with a colorful thread trim all around the edges.

When changing Raileigh’s diaper, I used a Bummas wipe to pat her bottom dry. I know that moisture is one of the leading causes of diaper rash, as well as something that causes it to keep spreading. Since the cloths are so soft, I was not afraid to use these on Raileigh even though she had diaper rash. I was very impressed at just how dry these cloths got her bottom. They are very adsorbent, and her bottom was quickly dry to the touch. Before Bummas, I would have to sit while her bottom air dried, and hope that she didn’t go again before I could get another diaper on!

I was very pleased with the amount of time it took for Raileigh’s diaper rash to clear up. Now, even though the rash is completely gone, I am continuing to use the wipes at every diaper change. They are a wonderful way to dry her bottom and prevent the diaper rash from reoccurring. The wipes are a generous size of 5″ x 7″. Couple that with the high absorbency rate, and Raileigh’s bottom is dry in a flash! I now have Bummas in each of our diaper changing stations around the house, as well as in Raileigh’s diaper bag.

I have also been pleased at how well the Bummas have held up. I washed them before the initial use, as well as multiple times since then. They don’t pill, shrink, or fade. I am confident that these will hold up well after our diaper changing days are over. It only makes me wish that we had incorporated them into our diaper changing routine a long time ago!

In addition to drying a baby’s bottom at diaper changes, Bummas have many other uses. Just by adding a bit of water, you have a great, reusable baby wipe that is perfect for sensitive bottoms. They make great washcloths, burp rags, and wipes for runny noses. Plus, they are a great way to clean up small spills. If you have a boy, they also make great shields to prevent those surprise squirts from hitting you! So, I think it’s pretty evident that there are multiple ways to get a lot of mileage from this fabulous product.

Another perk of Bummas are that they come in 4 color combinations, so you can match them to your decor or nursery theme. The Boys is a great selection of blues and greens. The Girls consists of red, pink, and recently added purple cloths. The Calm Ones is an assortment of orange, brown, and green Bummas. Then, you have the Wild Ones, which is a mixture from the other 3 sets.

Each set of Bummas comes in a pack of ten. If you are thinking of trying out Bummas, but are on the fence about it, I encourage you to just go ahead and make the purchase. At $16.99 a set, I think you will quickly see that this is an investment that will last a very long time. Plus, I really don’t think it is possible to have too many Bummas. With all of the great uses for them, I plan on adding more to my household in the near future.

I am very excited to tell you that Bummas has agreed to do a giveaway here at Wee Share. One lucky reader is going to receive a set of Bummas in the color combination of your choice. Very exciting! Thank you to Casey and Bummas for allowing us to have this fabulous giveaway!
