Simple Sunday Recipe- Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole is one of my favorite holiday foods. My husband doesn’t like it, so I always make it when we are going to someone’s house. In fact, I made a batch up this morning for lunch at my mom’s house. There are so many different variations of this recipe. Today, I will share my favorite one.

Green Bean Casserole

1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup (10.75 oz.)
2 Cans of Green Beans (14.5 oz. each)
3/4 cup of milk
1/8 tsp. black pepper
1 1/3 Cup French’s French Fried Onions, split in half

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 1.5 quart baking dish, stir the milk, soup, and pepper together. Then stir in the green beans (drained) and 1/2 of the french fried onions (2/3 cup).

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Add the remaining French’s French fried Onions to the top of the casserole and bake an additional 5 minutes. I really like the onions, so I tend to add a few more.

There are a lot of different variations for all your different taste buds. You can add a 1/2 cup of shredded cheese when you add the onions at the end. You could also use French’s Cheddar French Fried Onions instead. If you’re a bacon lover, add some finely chopped bacon to your casserole. There are so many different things you could try. What do you like adding to your green bean casserole?
