REVIEW & GIVEAWAY: Lou Bugs Boutique- CLOSED

Any time we are in the car for a considerable amount of time, Raileigh always falls asleep. It’s actually quite pitiful because her head falls down and her little neck looks so uncomfortable. I have seen travel pillows to prevent this from happening, but not in a size that fit Raileigh. My search for a toddler travel pillow was over when I found Lou Bugs Boutique.

Tracy is a stay at home mom and the wonderful lady behind Lou Bugs Boutique. I have enjoyed talking and back and forth with her these past few weeks. I’d like for all of you to get to know a little more about her. So, without further ado, I am pleased to introduce Tracy of Lou Bugs Boutique.

Name and Location: Tracy, Michigan

Where did you get your etsy shop name from? Lou Bug is my daughters nickname

What inspired you to open your etsy shop? When I started to sew I could not stop! I started to go to craft shows with a friend of mine and I started selling my products and I was hooked! I’m in love with etsy and it was just the next step for me.

Apart from creating things, what do you like to do? Spending time with the family

Is there any craft you don’t know how to do but wish you did? I’m in the early stages of learning how to knit!

Do you have any holiday traditions? My family does a gift exchange that is always fun every year.

If you could meet anyone, past or present, who would you choose any why? This is a hard question! I would like to meet anyone that has started from nothing and has built a successful business so that they can give me all there secrets 🙂

What is your favorite dessert? I love love love blondies

What is your greatest accomplishment is life this far? At this point in my life its being a mom who is trying to start a home based business, its not an easy thing to do and a lot of people don’t see that as a career but I’m set on making a living off my creativity.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Running a successful business from my home.

Even though Tracy is in the middle of moving, she still found time to create a travel pillow for Raileigh and I to review. When the pillow arrived, I was excited to find that the pillow was done in one of our favorite color combinations, pink and brown. The fabric of the pillow was decorated with one of our favorite snacks- strawberries! Tracey had adorned the pillow with a beautiful hang tag and ribbon that matched perfectly.

The entire travel pillow is constructed of flannel. The top and bottom of each pillow are made from contrasting fabrics. The bottom of our pillow had a pink fabric that coordinated very well with the strawberry design on top. I really like that the pillow is made up of two different fabrics because it allows the pillow to be reversible.

The travel pillows measure approximately 9 inches wide by 7 inches long. They are the perfect size for babies and toddlers. The pillows can be placed behind the neck or in front of the neck. You will have to test it out to see which way will work best for your child.

Raileigh and I have both been under the weather for a few days. We were both finally beginning to feel better and were able to test out the pillow yesterday. We headed to downtown Atlanta for free museum day at Imagine It, The Children’s Museum of Atlanta. I knew that Raileigh would fall asleep during our drive, and sure enough she did.

I chose to place the pillow behind Raileigh’s neck. Normally, when Raileigh sleeps in the car, her chin is sitting against her chest. As you can see, the travel pillow prevented Raileigh’s head from falling so far down. The soft materials of the pillow fit comfortably against her neck. She slept all the way to the museum, with the travel pillow supporting her head the entire way.

In addition to travel pillows, Tracy offers a variety of other items at Lou Bugs Boutique. You can help your toddler ride in comfort with her adorable car seat straps. If you contact Tracy, you might could even get a set to match your travel pillow! All of you on the go moms can also purchase Activity Bags for your wee ones. Each handmade tote bag contains a crayon roll and an activity pad. Check out Lou Bugs Boutique for even more of Tracy’s creations!

If I won I’d have to go with the camo pillow, my husband hunts and would think it absolutely adorable with no end. He’s very proud when his little girl sports her camo pants with him.

I went to the site too and it is down til the 13th.

Although this would be great for my granddaughter that lives with us she flops her head around trying to get comfortable in her car seat. She gets caught up in the worst positions that make me stiff all over.
